I love this web site, I am getting ready to start potty training him very soon. This web page had wonderful suggestions and ideas.
The 'signs of readiness' info really helped me see where my daughter was in regards to starting training
I learned that I have to be ready too;0)

I really like the site because its so lighthearted and fun! I find sometimes that potty training becomes way to serious of an endeavour especially for the kidlets!

The resources are wonderful- I don't think you can have too much when you start potty training! It took quite a while with my 1st, and I'm hoping it will smoother this 2nd time... :)
I learned that the site has a link to a special section for training multiples.

I learned that it’s important to take other people’s negative “advice” with a grain of salt. Once you do that, it’s time to get down to business. Start by gathering some helpful tools:
A potty chair.
Wet wipes for easy cleanups.
Several pairs of training pants such as PULL-UPS® Training Pants.
A basket of toys and books used just for potty time.
A special hand towel just for your child to wipe his or her hands on after washing hands (special kid-friendly soap is a good idea, too!).

I thought it was a good idea to wait and give them stickers until they need more motivation - don't just start out at the beginning giving stickers. We haven't started potty training yet, but my son is about to turn 2, so we will be starting soon!

Thanks for posting this link. My 2 year old seems ready but maybe I'm the one that's not! This might give me just the push I need to get started with her.

I like that they are honest with people. They aren't trying to just get you to buy a produc. It is nice to see real faces and voices talking about the challenges of potty training too.
I learned the signs of readiness! I would really like this set!

What a great site!! So informative and it goes over everything I could ever need to know about potty training. Thank you! I know it will be a great resource for me as I start to tackle this big step with my 2 1/2 year old.

I like the way they plan our the potty training. I am going to start my 22 month on this plan.
The signs of readiness were great. My son likes the pictures and images too.
I like the "Don't Rush the Flush" under the "Don't Get Spooked" article. My youngest refused to use any public bathrooms for a year after the very first one I had her use was an automatic flush and scared her to death! My oldest dd found a solution, though...drape some tp over the sensor and then it won't flush until you remove it!
Loved the "RELAX" portion of the intro video...sooo priceless!
I have your button on my site!!
I liked the videos of the kids (except that Lyon's mom said "It's gonna suck" and my kids were watching!) Hope to win!

I like learning of others successes and trials with kids. It's nice to know I'm not the only one who struggles.
We visited the site and my daughter (18 months) just sat, watching all the "baby"s sitting on the potty and was just entranced.
The child needs to be ready not the parent.
The Potty Project is awesome. It helped SO much with our older son and we're going to start potty training our younger soon with it too.

every child is ready at different times. they gave advice on watching for signs of readiness...wanting diapers changed, wanting to please, etc...
I learned Don’t Rush the Flush
If you’re training with a potty adapter seat that sits on top of your regular toilet, or your child is now ready to use the regular toilet, don’t forget to let him be in control of the flush! If your child seems fazed by the noise of a flush, make sure you explain that though flushing can be noisy and a little startling, it is an important, sequential part of the process, just like pulling on his pants and washing his hands. Let him take his time to get used to the noise, but make sure he’s always the one that’s responsible for flushing. You can even make up games to make flushing fun…like counting down to it together (3, 2, 1… Flush!). Meanwhile, avoid public restrooms until he masters flushing, as those toilets often flush more loudly or have automatic flushers that can go off before your little one is done!

I relearned that you have to let the advice of others go in one ear and out the other.
As long as you and the child are both ready.. then it is time.

No matter what your mother told you, there’s no one right age to start potty training. Most children show signs of readiness sometime between the ages of 18-24 months. Some children are ready at 18 months. Some hold-outs aren’t ready at three! Once you do get started, potty training takes about eight months, on average.

Since I watch both my nephew and cousins weekly, It's great to know sites like this exist because 1 of my cousins is going through potty training right now. I have a hand in helping my sister in the future, potty train my nephew, hopefully! :)
I like watching the videos - so does my daughter!
I love the video library under "Tools & Resources"-- can't wait to watch more of them when I get home from work.
