I think it's crucial that kids start learning a foreign language at a young age. I did and it really helped me pick up several languages when I got a little older.
Alot of the children in my daughters school speak English as a second language. So they try to teach her some Spanish words and she comes home to us and tells us the new words she learned. SHe always asks Mom what is the word for ____ in Spanish??? It is hard because I dont know much Spanish beyond being able to count... Like uno dos tres... LOL
i am a homeschooling mom of 7 and we could use these to enrich our curriculum. money is tight so this would help a lot!!
Does it count if I say that I like to learn Spanish? My main language is English and second language is Chinese. I was learning basic Japanese last year in school but Spanish seems really interesting..

These DVDs would be great to help my children learn spanish since we live in a very diverse neighborhood. We do have some books in different languages because I speak French, my sister-in-law is German, and my other brother loves all things Japanese. It would be fun to add another language.
I think it's important that we learn to speak other languages. My daughter would love this. And I would too!

This would be perfect for my youngest daughter. She is a very, *very* smart first grader but for financial and other reasons, she won't be able to participate in our local school's gifted program. This would be an ideal way for me to supplement her education.

My kids are always so excited when they learn a new word in Spanish. I would love a way to give them a chance to learn even more!

We have a spanish ministry at our church and we would love to be more involved in it and we all need to learn our spanish. I want my children to learn to serve others and sometimes that can be difficult with a language barrier. Of course they can still serve them but it would be much sweeter if they could communicate with them.
Thank you

I would love these dvd's. I homeschool my children and it would be a good tool to get them started speaking spanish. Also, with the heart for the people of Costa Rica and the desire to move there oneday, we need to know the language.

My granddaughter watches Dora just to pick up the Spanish words and keeps asking me to teach her. I don't know Spanish myself, but I think this would be a great tool to help us both learn. We live in a town that has alot of Spanish speaking people, and this would be a great help.
I would love to win this for my son! My father is bilingual and when he has my little guy, or we are visiting, he speaks to him in spanish - I really want him to be exposed to as many languages as possible while he's still young. Unfortunately I never learned it as a second language, so my at home coaxing isn't that effective. This would be great for me to use at home!!
I would love to use these in an educational setting. I'm hoping to become SPED certified soon and I know that many children suffer do to disabilities and language barriers can really hold them back!
My daughter attends a challenging charter school that includes Spanush curriculum from K-8th grade. This would be a great way to work on it at home together. Thanks for the giveaway!!!

My husband is fluent in Spanish and I am a homeschooling mom, who is not. I have picked up a bit of Spanish and have tried to teach myself and the kids, but I feel like I need to get some kind of program the kids would enjoy for us all to really make great strides in Spanish. This looks like it would be fun and would catapult us into Spanish speaking which has always been my goal. kristie2 (at) comcast.net
My grandkids are always so excited when they learn a new word in Spanish. Thanks!!!

These products look great! My children are being exposed to Spanish at their preschool. My oldest has hearing loss and wears hearing aids and would definitely benefit from these videos to give him extra help in the correct pronunciation of the words.

I am of Latin heritage and speak fluent spanish. I care for my granddaughters 4 and 5 daily. Noone else in the family speaks Spanish. The 4 yr old has a talent for language and I have been teaching her daily. I would love these for my darlings. We live in florida and my 2 d language has helped in my work, and just helping people . I take the bus to work and their was a born lady and her children who could not speak english. she was trying to get to the Doctor, it felt great to help her. I also help my daughter in law who works at a law firm. So many people have basic knowledge of Englis, but when things are really important they feel so much more comfortable in their own language. Bueno suerte !

We're freeschooling parents and I think a lot of the kids in the school could like this!
My daughter is fascinated with learning other languages and is currently taking Spanish in her school. I have bought her tapes for learning French and German, but not Spanish. This would be a great opportunity for her.
As a former teacher I think learning through music is such an easy, fun way of learning. Every child should be exposed to at least one other language.
A second language like Spanish can only make a family more versatile.
My daughter is 3/4 hispanic and we would love for her to be able to speak the launguage. A lot of her family on her dad's side speak little english and I think it's very important for her to be able to communicate with them when she is older. I myself need to learn too because I speak 0 spanish. Surprisingly, she's picked up how to count to 7 in Spanish just by watching Dora a few times a week.
